British Cabinet Office’s chief mouser Larry says he may ‘stop trying’ to remember PMs’ names as he prepares for his 7th leader

Larry the Cat, living at the UK prime minister’s residence, may stop remembering the names of government leaders due to their frequent changes, according to a post on the X account of the Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office.

“If rumours are to be believed I’ll be living with a seventh different Prime Minister shortly. If it carries on like this I’m going to stop making the effort to learn their names,” Larry the Cat wrote on X.

The cat was appointed as the UK prime minister’s residence’s official “chief mouser.” He regularly makes sarcastic “posts” on social media about British politicians.

Earlier today, it became known that British PM Keir Starmer had resigned.
