EU to provide €3.2B to Ukraine in first tranche of loan support

On June 25, the European Union will disburse an initial €3.2 billion tranche to Ukraine as part of its loan support program, European Commissioner Marta Kos has said.

“We will allocate the first €3.2 billion of this loan,” she said.

According to Kos, the payment is part of a broader €90 billion EU loan package designed to support Ukraine.

The diplomat stated that the funds will be used to help sustain Ukraine during the ongoing war and to support the country’s reconstruction efforts.
