Minsk to respond with full force to any potential border violations by Kyiv, foreign ministry says

Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Sekreta has said Belarus will respond with its full force if Ukrainian troops cross the country’s border.

“If Belarus’ border is crossed without permission or in an act of aggression, we will respond with our full force… Our Ukrainian neighbors know this,” Sekreta told RT.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Belarus must withdraw military equipment deployed in areas bordering Ukraine and warned that Kyiv would take action if the demand was not met.

He also called on Belarus to stop supporting strikes against Ukraine.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, for his part, has said that Minsk has no intention of going to war against Ukrainians.
