4 earthquakes happen on Kyrgyz-Chinese border

Four earthquakes occurred on the border between Kyrgyzstan and China overnight. The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan reports.

The first tremor measured 4.5 on the Richter scale and was followed by three other tremors. The strongest one registered a magnitude of 5.9.

The epicenter was in China, not far from the area struck by a major earthquake, measuring 7 on Jan. 23.  

On Jan. 23, a huge earthquake was registered in Kyrgyzstan as well. The epicenter was in China, while tremors were felt in almost every country of Central Asia.
