The Syrian Ministry of Defense has reported civilians and military personnel killed in U.S. strikes.
According to U.S. officials, the strikes were made in retaliation for the Jan. 28 drone attack in Jordan, which had killed three U.S. service members.
Washington blames Tehran for that attack.
