The Houthi movement, ruling the north of Yemen, announced on Monday that their air defense forces had shot down a U.S. MQ-9 reconnaissance drone.
“In Hodeidah, the Yemeni air defenses were able to shoot down an American plane (MQ9),” reads the X post, made by the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Yahya Saree.
He also announced that they had carried out an operation against a British ship in the Gulf of Aden.
