Vagif Khachatryan’s trial taking place in Baku; Prosecutor asks for time for speech

Another court hearing on Vagif Khachatryan’s case was held
at the Baku Military Court.

The papers available were studied and published at today’s
hearing. The investigation into the trumped-up criminal case has been
completed. The prosecutor asked the court for time to make a speech. The
hearing will continue tomorrow.

To remind, Vagif Khachatryan was abducted from the ICRC
vehicle on his way to Yerevan from Artsakh. He was coming to Armenia to undergo
medical treatment.

Azerbaijan has brought serious charges against Khachatryan.
However, he does not plead guilty, noting that he has not been engaged in
military operations, let alone in acts of “genocide”.
