
US could strike Iran’s energy sites while maintaining maritime blockade if Tehran makes wrong decision, Pentagon says
While maintaining a maritime blockade on Iran, the United States could strike its energy facilities if Tehran makes the wrong decision, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said.
“Meanwhile, we will maintain this blockade — a successful blockade — for as long as necessary,” he said.
He also noted that the United States is blocking Iranian ports rather than the Strait of Hormuz, and intends to stop Iranian vessels, including tankers, on the high seas.
