An Azerbaijani serviceman crossed the border and shot an Armenian citizen

On September 29, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan informed the National Security Service of Armenia that a serviceman from one of Azerbaijan’s military units had left his duty station under unknown circumstances, the Armenian NSS reports.

It was not ruled out that he might have illegally crossed the Armenian border.

On October 1 at 2:15 PM, an emergency call was received by the 112 Operational Management Center of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, stating that an Armenian citizen had been shot in the leg in the settlement of Shaki, Syunik Province.

It was established that the crime was committed by the Azerbaijani serviceman, who has been detained.
