Deputy foreign minister: Expanding the EU monitoring mission and strengthening its mandate is on Armenia’s agenda

Expanding the EU monitoring mission and strengthening its
mandate is on Armenia’s agenda. Positive reactions are coming from the EU as
well. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan said this in the
National Assembly.

“Political cooperation has been promoted. This year, a
dialogue on political and security issues was held between Armenia and the EU
for the first time. Of course, expanding the EU monitoring mission and
strengthening their mandate is on our agenda as well. Positive signals are coming
from the EU and its member states,” Hovhannisyan said.

The deputy foreign minister noted that the first round of
dialogue on political and security issues between Armenia and the EU took place
in Yerevan in January. The next round is planned for November in Brussels.
