Elinar Vardanyan, a former MP of the Armenian National Assembly, also gave a speech outside the Armenian Human Rights Defender’s Office. Vardanyan addressed several questions to Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan.
“Where is the Human Rights Defedender’s reaction to the use of brute force by the police outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or to a policeman’s shoe print left on a young man’s face? Where is the Human Rights Defedender’s reaction to the police blocking the path of His Holiness, or to the violence used against MP Ashot Simonyan?
The absence of these reactions also allows the authorities to act like sheer oppressors,” Vardanyan noted.
