Putin dismisses Lavrov’s deputy from post
Russian President Vladimir Putin relieved First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov of his post, TASS writes.
The reason for the dismissal has not been specified. Titov is known to have been in charge of relations with European countries since 2013. Previously, he also worked in Russia’s diplomatic missions in Sweden and Bulgaria.
On May 12, Putin extended the tenure of Titov, as well as that of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin and Foreign Ministry Director General Sergey Vyazalov, for one year.
