Dozens arrested in Venezuela amid protests
The Prosecutor General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, has announced the arrest of at least 15 people amid protests that broke out in the country.
The prosecutor general said on X that nine people, including a 15-year-old teenager, were arrested, while carrying out vandalism actions and setting fire to the headquarters of the party, when there were people inside.
Later, he announced the arrest of six more people, three of whom were leading the protests. It is noted that gasoline, several Molotov cocktails, knives and stones were confiscated from them during the arrest.
On July 28, presidential elections were held in the country, in which the current leader of the country, Nicolas Maduro, won. The next day, protests began in Caracas, with clashes between police and protesters.
