The National Committee initiated a discussion on the topic
of ‘The threats to the security of Armenia, ways of neutralizing them, and the
further activities of the opposition movement’. Several dozen representatives
of the opposing political and social forces, and individual public figures,
took part in the discussion.
Coordinator of the National Committee Vazgen Manukyan gave
an opening speech.
The discussion covered the following issues:
1. Internal and external security threats
2. The urgent priorities of the future Armenian authorities
in settling national issues and in dealing with security threats
3. Opinions of various opposition movements and public
demands from the Opposition
4. Ideological viewpoints and practical suggestions of the
new oppositional movement
5. Ideas, principles and methods of public communication put
forward by the new opposition movement
6. Reorganization of the National Committee and outlining
the opposition movement’s new format.
