Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is refusing to strike a deal to end the war with Russia. As The Financial Times writes, U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said this during an election rally in North Carolina.
According to Trump, Washington gives billions of dollars to Kyiv, while Zelenskyy refuses to negotiate on the settlement of the conflict.
“There was no deal that he could have made that wouldn’t have been better than the situation you have right now. You have a country that has been obliterated,” Trump noted.
He also called Zelenskyy’s critical statements about him dirty.
