Borrell admits conflict in Ukraine on back burner

High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell admitted that the conflict in Ukraine has been put on the back burner.

“What is happening in the Middle East proves that we have lost our sense of humanity,” the diplomat said in an interview with RNE radio station.

“We don’t talk much about the war in Ukraine; it seems to be over, but I assure you, it is not over; it continues and continues with the same intensity,” Borrell added.

According to him, he does not know how many resolutions Israel has already violated; the statements that the fire should be ceased imply efforts as much as possible; and as long as the war in Gaza and Lebanon continues, the world will live on a spark, waiting for the fire to break out.
