Syrian army closes Aleppo airport, canceling flights

Syrian authorities have closed Aleppo airport as well as all roads leading into the city, Reuters writes.

The authorities made this decision after the Islamist group reached Aleppo.

As noted, Russia has promised Damascus extra military aid, which will start arriving in the next 72 hours.
