Peskov: Russia and Iran do not intend to postpone the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit to Russia is being prepared, but there is no clear timetable, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.
He noted that at this moment there is no clarification that the visit will take place before the end of the year.
Peskov added that Russia and Iran do not intend to postpone the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement.
Previously, Russia and Iran had agreed on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
According to media reports, the document could have been signed during the BRICS summit in Kazan, but the leaders of the countries agreed during a conversation in Turkmenistan that it would be signed during a separate visit by the Iranian president to Russia.
