The Syrian winter of the Arab Spring

The fiasco of the Assads or the end of the Syrian chapter of the Arab Spring. The Arab Spring that began in Syria in 2011 came to a close 13 years later, in the winter of 2024. In just nine days, militant groups gradually captured Syria’s largest cities and reached the capital, Damascus, attaining the goal they had pursued for 13 years.
