Kiselev uncertain about what in his program displeased Armenia’s Foreign Ministry
Dmitry Kiselev, TV presenter and director general of the Russia Today news agency, stated in an interview with NEWS.ru that he does not know which specific statement from the “Weekly News” program prompted the Armenian Foreign Ministry to summon Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin.
Kiselev noted that at the moment there is nothing to comment on. Earlier, it was reported that Kopirkin had been summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, where he was handed a note of protest. The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry clarified that the reason for this was that “artificially generated rhetoric against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia had been voiced during the program.”
