Iranian Foreign Ministry: Iran will withdraw from Iran nuclear deal if Western nations apply pressure
Iran will exit the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) if European countries and the United States activate the “snapback mechanism.” Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghai said this in a weekly press conference.
“Regarding the application of the argument known as the ‘snapback mechanism,’ we have made it clear since the time of Hassan Rouhani’s administration that if this lever is used to exert pressure on Iran, our response will be proportional. In fact, there will be no reason for Iran to remain in certain agreements,” Baghai stated.
