National Assembly refuses to put Hayakve bill on agenda: live

The RA National Assembly has refused to put the bill
designed to criminalize the recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan on the
agenda for the plenary meeting. Fifty-seven MPs from the Civil Contract party
voted against this, 26 Opposition MPs voted for.

The parliamentary Opposition accused the ruling party of not
fulfilling its pre-election promises regarding the Artsakh issue. In an address
to National Assembly President Alen Simonyan, Secretary of the NA Armenia
Alliance Artsvik Minasyan noted that the ruling party has not only broken its
pre-election promise on a key national issue, but has been doing exactly the
opposite, thereby killing parliamentarianism in a parliamentary republic.
