Armenia will open a consulate general in Tabriz, Iran. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said this in response to Sputnik Armenia’s written request. “We would like to say that preparatory work is underway. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will properly provide updates on further developments,” reads the ministry’s response.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran hoped the Armenian Consulate General in Tabriz would open in early 2024.
