When arresting Hampig Sassounian police tie his hands and beat him

The berets and the police officers behave like cowards; they use force even against a person with his hands tied. Hampig Sassounian, a member of the Justice Fighters organization, said this to ABC media. Sassounian was arrested today but was released midway.

“I was arrested outside the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. I was standing on the sidewalk; there were other people next to me. The berets approached them and started to drag them. Then I said: ‘Why are you taking him? He is standing on the sidewalk.’ After that, two other police officers came and took me too. I got even more angry when they caught me and hit me from the right side. They behaved like cowards. How can one hit a person with his hands tied?” Hampig Sassounian noted.

According to him, the present authorities have dragged the country into four wars in the past six years, and seeing all that, the people must wake up. “I am calling on my people, students and honorable Armenians to join this struggle. If the current authorities continue to rule, there will be no Armenia. The future of this three-thousand-year-old country hangs by a thread; if Nikol the traitor does not leave, there will be no Armenia,” he noted.
