Galuzin: The EU Mission in Armenia is conducting an anti-Russian propaganda campaign
The EU mission is more and more openly carrying out provocative actions against Armenia’s neighbors, i.e. Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this in an interview with News.ru.
“The mission is a tool of the EU hybrid warfare․ This attests to its secret and uncontrollable nature for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and other interested countries and organizations,” Galuzin noted.
He added that the EU is conducting an anti-Russian propaganda campaign, instilling false ideas about the EU in Armenian society, and the EU activities are increasingly becoming anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Iranian in nature.
The diplomat noted that Russia is in favor of the complete unblocking of economic and transport links in the South Caucasus. “This is exactly what the tripartite working group established in 2021 by the decision of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, under the joint chairmanship of the deputy prime ministers of the three countries, is doing,” Galuzin said. He drew attention to the fact that under the pressure of Western countries, Yerevan has decided to freeze this tripartite cooperation.
“Moscow considers it necessary to resume the full activities of the group as soon as possible, not only to unblock the transport and communication system of the South Caucasus, but also to establish sustainable peace and prosperity in the region,” the official said.
