12 presidential candidates register in Iran
The registration of presidential candidates continues in Iran. As of today, the number of registered candidates has reached 12, the spokesperson for the Election Office reports.
“Out of the 12 candidates who registered in the past three days, five people registered on the first day, four on the second day, and three on the third day. In total, eight of the applicants have a doctor’s degree, and four have a master’s degree,” the official noted.
Ali Larijani, the former speaker of the Parliament of Iran, is among the registered candidates. According to him, if elected, his main goal will be to solve the sharp disagreements within Iranian society.
