Moscow ready to provide any support to Baku in joining BRICS
Russia respects the desire of every country, including Azerbaijan, to start cooperation with BRICS, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
Zakharova noted that Moscow is ready to provide any possible support to Baku in this regard. “We respect the sovereign desire of each country, in this case Azerbaijan, to develop closer cooperation with BRICS. The organization is objectively welcoming more and more like-minded members,” she noted.
To remind, Aykhan Hajizada, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, said that Azerbaijan had submitted an official application to join BRICS.
BRICS is an intergovernmental organization established in 2006. Its members are Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
