
US and Iran agree to 60-day ceasefire extension
The US and Iran have agreed to extend a 60-day ceasefire under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, Pakistani government sources told Anadolu․
The agreement is set to expire on August 17.
Both sides have conveyed their consent to the mediators to extend the deadline, a source close to the mediation process said.
According to source, the two sides are exchanging messages to decide on the extension period.
Pakistan is mediating in negotiations between the United States and Iran.
