The opening ceremony of the annual tent business forum Sevan Startup Summit took place on July 21. Startup companies, mentors and representatives of investing organizations from around 40 countries around the world attended the most anticipated startup festival of the year. About 150 startup companies are participating in the event. More than 2,500 visitors attended the opening ceremony.
The event was attended by Artur Janibekyan, the founder of Comedy Club Production and the co-founder of Sevan Startup Summit, Hakob Hakobyan, the founder of Sevan Startup Summit and the senior partner of Triple S Ventures, Mohammed Ali Al Nuaimi, the director of Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Hayk Shekyan, the founder and CEO of Shtigen Group, Harutyun Ispiryan, the chief Digital and Talent Officer at Ardshinbank, Gor Vardanyan, the rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, and Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia.
The Sevan Startup Summit, in its informal format, creates unique opportunities for its participants to make new connections from different corners of the world. This year, for the first time, three other events are held on the margins of the summit: Energy Transition and Entrepreneurship Summit, Sevan EV Rally and Sevan Agritech Summit.
To date, the 10 events of the Seaside Startup Summit have attracted nearly 40,000 participants from around 60 countries around the world. Most of the more than 1,500 startup companies received grant awards from a prize pool of nearly $500,000. The total number of investments and investment agreements made within the framework of the project exceeds $5 million.
