Russian and Iranian presidents to discuss North–South Corridor project

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has announced that the
implementation of the North–South Transport Corridor project will be on the
agenda for the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. As TASS
reports, the Iranian president said this at Mehrabad International Airport
before leaving for Russia.

“Both countries strive to implement the North–South
Transport Corridor project, and one of the items on the agenda for the meeting
is the acceleration of its construction process,” he said.

The Kremlin reported talks are scheduled for Dec. 7 in
Moscow between Putin and Raisi. The parties will discuss bilateral economic
cooperation, as well as regional and international issues.
