On trail of Azerbaijani expert’s “filming in Yerevan”: Experts comment, National Security Service denies

The other day, a video appeared on the Internet, where
Azerbaijani Military Expert Telman Gasimov claimed he had arrived in Yerevan
and filmed the backyard where he grew up.

The video caused quite a stir, but later various websites
and individuals denied its authenticity, claiming it was filmed between 2004
and 2006.

Military Expert Karen Vrtanesyan analyzed the video and says
the face of the man cannot be seen in the video, and this raises doubts.
According to the expert, this may be an order. Someone made the video for
money, maybe not knowing who had ordered it.

Vrtanesyan does not rule out the possibility that the Azerbaijani
man may have arrived in Yerevan, but that will already be a serious issue.

“He may have somehow — maybe by lying — managed to appear in
Yerevan; I do not think he could come as a foreign citizen,” he said.

The National Security Service of Armenia has issued a
statement on the video. As it turns out, it was made back in 2017.

“Gasimov received the video in November 2017 from dual
national “A. K.”. The latter captured the building where T. Gasimov was “born
and grew up” and sent it to him. Six years later, editing the video and adding
his voice to the video, T. Gasimov is trying to spread panic among the Armenian
society and thereby raise his “status” among the Azerbaijani audience,” reads
the statement.

The NSS called on such gasimovs to come out of the realm of
their fevered imagination.
