We must be alert: Holy See of Cilicia expresses support for Artsakh and calls for unification
The Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia made a statement expressing its support for Artsakh.
“The Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, along with its dioceses, national authorities, affiliated institutions and unions, supports the statement made by the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, denouncing any viewpoint and effort, particularly those of the Armenian PM and the authorities, relating to the recognition of the Republic of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
On December 10, 1991, by popular vote, Artsakh expressed its collective will through self-determination, and the Supreme Council ratified Artsakh’s decision for self-determination afterward. According to international law, all peoples have a right to self-determination,” the statement reads.
