Trump addresses possibility of using nuclear weapons in Iran conflict

US President Donald Trump has dismissed reports suggesting that Washington could use nuclear weapons in its conflict with Iran.

Speaking to reporters after an event at the White House, the US president denied that such an option was being considered.

“Why would I do that? Why would I use nuclear weapons? We have already completely defeated them through simple means without it,” Trump said. “No, I will not do such a thing. The use of nuclear weapons should not be allowed at all by anyone,” he added.
