Shoigu expresses regret over Armenia seeking protection from the ‘direct source of the threat’

Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has said he finds it regrettable that Yerevan seeks protection from what he described as the direct source of the threat. Shoigu made the remarks at a meeting of the CSTO Security Council secretaries.

“There are many problems, and it is far more effective to solve them together. It is unfortunate that our Armenian colleagues in the organization do not understand this and are seeking protection from the direct source of the threat. This is the choice of Armenia’s leadership and its responsibility for the future of its country and people,” Shoigu said.
