Iran executes ex-MMA champion

An Iranian court has sentenced well-known athlete Gholamreza Khani Shakarab on charges of espionage in favor of Israel, according to Tasnim News.

Shakarab was a former mixed martial arts (MMA) champion.

The report states that the verdict against Shakarab was upheld by the country’s Supreme Court and has been carried out.
