Trump targets Meloni again in another mocking post

US President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account an image of himself with Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni with the caption “Restraining order needed,” Euronews writes.

A restraining order is a precautionary measure used against stalkers, whereby a court order requires the perpetrator to keep their distance from the person subjected to their unwarranted attention.

The post appeared on the evening of July 5, just hours before the NATO summit in Ankara, which both leaders are expected to attend.

According to Corriere della Sera, the government does not intend this time to react “to this provocation.”

Again according to the Italian daily’s sources, during the night the prime minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani spoke to agree on a strategy based on ignoring what is seen as a personal attack.
