US and Iran deliver strikes again as tensions escalate

The United States and Iran have delivered strikes again, with both sides reporting attacks on military targets.

According to a statement from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), strikes were carried out on dozens of Iranian targets on orders from President Donald Trump. The targets included air defense systems, radar installations, missile launchers and military boats.

Explosions were reported in the area of the Strait of Hormuz and in at least 13 Iranian cities, including Bandar Abbas, Kermanshah, Qeshm, Ahvaz, Sirik and other locations.

Iran, in turn, launched ballistic missiles and drones toward several US military bases.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that ammunition depots and fuel storage facilities were damaged at a US military base in Jordan. According to the same source, helicopter maintenance facilities, a US drone control center and other facilities were destroyed at Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa Air Base.

The IRGC also said that a base belonging to the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet was targeted. In Kuwait, Patriot air defense systems were destroyed, according to the Iranian force’s claims.
