Iran says its forces are ready to give US troops a ‘warm welcome’

Iran has received “certain proposals” from mediators aimed at de-escalating the current tensions, but details will be announced later, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has said.

Responding to a question about the possibility of a US ground operation in Iran, Baghaei said Iranians stationed on the country’s islands are ready to give American troops a “warm welcome.”
