Israel defense minister says Netanyahu succeeded where Churchill failed by bringing US into Iran strikes
Israel wants to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure, but the United States is currently opposed to such a move, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has said.
Below are some highlights from Katz’s remarks:
- American fighter jets are taking off from Israel to carry out strikes in Iran. The Iranians know it.
- Israel wants to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure, but the United States is not approving it at the moment out of concern that Iran could attack neighboring countries and trigger a global oil crisis.
- Netanyahu achieved what Churchill could not. He brought Trump together with us to attack Iran.
- In Gaza, we destroy not only the underground infrastructure but also homes above ground. Today, nearly 70% of Gaza has been destroyed.
- In 24 Lebanese villages dating back hundreds of years, Israel destroyed every building—not house by house, but entire villages. Between 15,000 and 20,000 homes across those 24 villages have been destroyed.
