UN Chief to visit Yerevan

UN Secretary-General António Guterres will visit Yerevan on October 15–16 to participate in the COP17 biodiversity conference. During his visit, he will meet with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, among others, according to his spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric.

As his spokesperson noted, Guterres will arrive in Yerevan on Thursday, October 15, and will stay through Friday.

Dujarric emphasized that Guterres will also take part in the COP17 biodiversity conference.

"I would expect that the agenda of the meeting between Mr. Pashinyan and Mr. Guterres will naturally cover UN-Armenia cooperation, as well as the regional security situation," Dujarric said in response to a question from RIA Novosti.
