Bayramov: Armenia has internal issues, and Baku is monitoring the process

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has commented on various statements coming from Armenia regarding the finalization of the peace agreement.

During a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, the Azerbaijani minister noted that these statements are being closely monitored and taken into note.

"Azerbaijan demonstrated its goodwill at the historic Washington Summit. Our country is also taking unilateral steps so that everyone can see the real results of the peace process. However, there are internal issues in Armenia. We are monitoring the process. Armenian society must recognize and understand that peace is essential both for them and for Azerbaijani society," Bayramov stated.

In turn, Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen stated that in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, both countries must take pragmatic steps.

The minister noted that the Netherlands supports building trust in this area.

"Achieving lasting peace will unlock new economic opportunities in the region," the minister noted.
