Lavrov: The West asks some countries to secretly send Russian weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Moscow is aware that there are cases when the West asks some countries to secretly send Russian weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this.

“Moscow is in contact with all the countries whom the West is trying to persuade to send weapons to Ukraine, without first informing us as suppliers. We will do our best for all international obligations to be fulfilled,” Lavrov said.

He said that in the past one and a half years, Moscow has recorded “several such cases”.

Lavrov noted that in case of a legal and transparent arms trade, certain documents are prepared, including an end-user certificate.

“According to this certificate, the arms recipient has no right to resell them without having the supplying country’s consent,” he said.

“At the same time, the West does not want to open its eyes to the fact that the weapons that NATO countries supply to Ukraine spread across the hotspots of the world and fall into the hands of terrorists,” Lavrov added.
