Russia sends humanitarian aid to population of Gaza
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has sent humanitarian aid to the population of the Gaza Strip on an Il-76 aircraft, the press service of the ministry told TASS.
“The Il-76 flew to Egypt’s El Arish International Airport. The aid contained grain products, flour, sugar and other non-perishable goods, as well as personal care products with a total weight of over 29 tons,” reads the statement.
The aid will be transferred from Egypt to the representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will deliver it to the Gaza Strip. In total, since the beginning of the humanitarian mission, more than 480 tons of food, medicine, clothes and other necessary items have been delivered to the population of the Gaza Strip by 20 flights of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
