Artur Sukoyan, the assistant of MP Levon Kocharyan from the NA Armenia Alliance, made a Facebook post after the court decision to arrest him.
“Dear compatriots, the court has decided to take into custody an Armenian person for protecting the Armenian Apostolic Church in Armenia.
All those who are trying to turn us from an ancient myth into a rumor will be held accountable.
I, Arthur Sukoyan, a Christian, swear to be the protector of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
