Lavrov: Armenia is Russia’s natural strategic partner

Russia highly values its fraternal relations with Armenia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“Armenia is our natural strategic partner and ally. We are interested in strengthening and developing the traditions of friendship,” Lavrov said.

He noted that trade and economic relations between Moscow and Yerevan are experiencing growth, emphasizing that trade turnover has reached record levels.

“Over the past year, it has reached approximately $12 billion,” the Russian foreign minister said.
