Zakharova: Don’t fall for media provocations promoting spy mania

Russia expects a positive resolution regarding the registration of the Center of Russian Culture (Russian House), Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in a press briefing. The embassy confirmed that Moscow has received notification from the Azerbaijani side about the suspension of the Russian House’s activities.

“In response, the Russian side has expressed its readiness to take the necessary actions to complete the registration of the Russian House and to do so, of course, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” she stated.

“We have repeatedly proposed discussing this issue through diplomatic channels on the margins of relevant consultations. These proposals have also been sent in writing to the Azerbaijani side. Therefore, we expect this matter to be resolved positively,” Zakharova noted.

She also urged not to fall for media provocations that promote a spy mania.
