Canada opposes Russia’s return to G7

The Canadian government is against Russia rejoining the Group of Seven (G7), Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly said during an online briefing.

“When the proposal to include Russia in the G7 came up, I said—no way,” Joly stated.

According to her, she discussed the issue with her European counterparts.
