Armenia opens Margara border crossing with Turkey for 10 days to send aid to Syria
In the list of non-reportable questions, the government has adopted a decision, according to which, from March 21 to March 31, the Margara border crossing with Turkey will be made operational in order to send humanitarian aid to Syria through the territory of Turkey.
“As a result of official meetings between the relevant authorities of the Republic of Armenia and the Syrian Arab Republic, an agreement has been reached to also discuss the issue of Armenia providing humanitarian aid to Syria.
The adoption of this decision is conditioned by the necessity of transporting the humanitarian aid cargo intended to be sent from the Republic of Armenia to the Syrian Arab Republic through Turkish territory overland,” reads the decision.
