Iran vows to protect its security and national interests from ‘Zangezur’ project by any necessary means

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, by placing their trust in the United States, have made the same mistake as Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said Brig. Gen. Yadollah Javani, Deputy Head for Political Affairs of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to Gazeta.ru.

According to him, the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia will pay dearly for their ignominious action.

“Iran, India, and Russia will not remain silent in the face of this act,” Javani stressed.

He also stated that the “American dream” of having a U.S. presence along Iran’s northern borders will never be realized, and that the Islamic Republic will defend its security and national interests from the “Zangezur” project by any necessary means.
