Orban: Hungary’s peacekeeping mission is not over yet
In an interview with Telex, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he continues to work on the peacekeeping mission to prevent escalation and the conflict in Ukraine.
Orban noted that after his visits to Moscow and Kyiv, he presented his ideas for conflict resolution to the EU leaders. According to him, if Europe had done “a number of things” in early July, it could have averted the escalation. The situation now is much worse than then, Orban noted.
The Hungarian prime minister also said that his peacekeeping mission is not over yet.
In July, Orban successively visited Kyiv, Moscow, occupied Artsakh and Beijing, discussing with the leaders of those countries the issue of the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Afterward, Orban went to Washington for the NATO summit, where he met with Donald Trump.
